Kass's Green Bean Cassarole

Ingredients
2 cans French Cut Green Beans1/4 cup diced onion1 teaspoon Olive Oil16 pecan halves (or other nut you have on hand)1/3 cup shredded cheese (any flavor)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 8x8-inch baking dish with non-stick spray. Open and drain both cans of beans. Put in bottom of dish. Saute the diced onion in the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the onions untii they become clear or somewhat translucent. Remove from heat and drain on paper towel to remove any excess oil. Sprinkle onions over the top of the beans. Add the pecan halves on top and bake for 20 minutes. Top with the shredded cheese and put back in oven for 5 minutes or until the cheese melts.
