Sausage Gravy

Ingredients
-Turkey Sausage (Any type or make your own!)-1cup--Fat Free Milk (about a cup--mary vary depending on desired thickness)-1/4cup--All Purpose Flour (1/4 cup may vary depending on desired thickness)-Salt and Pepper to taste-Pinch of Red Pepper Flakes
Directions
Put Sausage in pan on med heat and crumble with fork or spoon while cooking. After sausage is cooked through drain off most of oil. Return pan to stove top with sausage still in the pan. Add flour until bottom is covered and stir with wisk until flour is browned. Once flour has browned to desired color add milk and continue to stirr with wisk. Once gravy begins to bubble turn heat back to low and keep stirring to avoid lumps. Add salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes until desired taste is reached.

    This is my basic recipe as well, I was glad not to have to type it in from scratch. I spice it up a little more with some garlic and minced onions, but overall its the same. Its a very tasty breakfast gravy that is low cal cause of the turkey sausage and skim milk. I serve it with low cal biscuits. - 9/6/08
