Layered fish chowder

Ingredients
4.0 tbsp Butter, salted1.5 cup, fluid (yields 2 cups whipped) Heavy Whipping Cream4.0 cup (8 fl oz) Chicken Broth2.0 cup, chopped Onions, raw32.0 oz Cod (fish)4.0 serving Westminster Crackers - All Natural Oyster Crackers 1/2 oz2.0 serving Bacon, Applegate Farms Sunday Bacon (2 strips)4.0 serving Golden Idaho Potatoes- 1 medium potato- Green Giant1.0 tbsp Salt1.0 tsp Pepper, black0.25 tsp Nutmeg, ground1.0 tsp Thyme, fresh
Directions
Fry bacon and set aside. Saute onion in bacon fat. Add butter, thyme, nutmeg. Build chowder in layers; onion, potato slices, fish, crumbled crackers. Season potatoes and fish fillets with salt and pepper. Repeat. Top with onions. Add broth. Heat to a simmer on top of the stove. Place covered pot in oven at 400 for 35 minutes. Add cream. Top with bacon. Bake for 15 minutes more. Serving Size: Makes 8 1.5 cup servings
