1.5 cup Chickpeas (garbanzo beans) cooked from dry beans1.0 tbsp Tahini1.0 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil1.0 lemon yields Lemon Juice0.125 tsp Salt1.0 clove Garlic
Helps to cut garlic clove up a bit. Process all ingredients in a food processor until very smooth. Add Harissa, Sriracha or other flavor when processing if desired (subtle flavor boost 1 or less tsp; bolder 1Tbsp/to taste). Use organic ingredients when possible. I cook dried beans in a pressure cooker; allow to cool somewhat before blending. reserve cooking water and add in small amounts as needed to achieve the desired consistency.
