Belgian Waffles, Power Packed

Ingredients
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour1 cup whole wheat flour1/4 cup flax seed, milled1/4 cup wheat germ2 tbsp baking powder1 tsp salt5 eggs, separated3 1/2 cups buttermilk (I used 1 cup buttermilk and 2 1/2 cups skim milk with 2 tbsp cider vinegar)1 cup cooking oil4 tbsp soy protein powder3 scoops (60g) whey protein vanilla drink mix
Directions
Mix together dry ingredients. Set aside.
Beat egg whites until stiff. Set aside.
Beat egg yolks, then add buttermilk, oil and proteins. Mix well.
Add dry ingredients and stir until just mixed.
Fold in egg whites.
Cook in belgian waffle maker 2 - 2 1/2 min. for each.
Makes 12 large waffles (even 1/2 a waffle will fill you up)
