Ingredients
1lb Ground beef, lean4oz Bacon (Oscar Meyer, Center Cut)1 small Onion chopped 0.5 cup, minced Carrots0.5 cup, minced Celery2 28 oz Cans Crushed Tomatoes.25 cup White Wine0.5 cup Half and Half Cream
Directions
In a large saute pan cook chopped bacon until fat has melted over medium low heat. Add onion, celery, & carrots & cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Change heat to medium high. Add beef & salt & pepper. Brown the beef. Add wine & reduce, about 4 minutes. Add tomatoes & simmer for 2 hours. (I transferred to crock pot, or you could cook the whole thing in the InstaPot). Prior to serving, add half & half & summery for a few more minutes.
