Chicken Sharwarma

Ingredients

* 1/2 cup malt vinegar * 1/4 cup plain yogurt * 1 tablespoon vegetable oil * salt and pepper to taste * 1 teaspoon mixed spice (middle eastern spices)* 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground cardamom * 8 skinless, boneless chicken thighs sliced very thin, preferably shredded. If you keep the chicken partially frozen, and run it through the slicer on your food processor, this works perfectly. * * 1/2 cup tahini * 1/4 cup plain yogurt * 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic * 2 tablespoons lemon juice * 1 tablespoon olive oil * 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley * salt and pepper to taste * * 4 medium tomatoes, thinly sliced * 1/2 cup sliced onion * 4 cups shredded lettuce sweet pickles or banana peppers, sliced thin* 8 pita bread rounds

* 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground cardamom
Mix all above into a marinade, and add:
* 8 skinless, boneless chicken thighs
sliced very thin, preferably shredded. If you keep the chicken partially frozen, and run it through the slicer on your food processor, this works perfectly. Bake/roast the chicken in your oven at 400 degrees, stirring frequently to make sure all gets cooked evenly, about 1/2 hour or until done.
Mix together the following ingredients into a sauce:

* 1/2 cup tahini
* 1/4 cup plain yogurt
* 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
* 2 tablespoons lemon juice
* 1 tablespoon olive oil
* 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
* salt and pepper to taste

Pour sauce over cooked chicken, and place a scoop into a pita round, with the follow ingredients:
* 4 medium tomatoes, thinly sliced
* 1/2 cup sliced onion
* 4 cups shredded lettuce
sweet pickles or banana peppers, sliced thin
* 8 pita bread rounds
Makes 8 servings. Good cold too!
