Dhal Curry Homemade

Ingredients
1 cup *lentils, great value dried 1 small Onions, raw 3 Italian tomato Red Ripe Tomatoes 2 tbsp Butter, unsalted1 in ginger, julienned 2 cloves garlic, minced2 dried chili’s1 curry leaf1/2 tsp turmericSalt1 tsp mustard seeds1 tsp cumin seeds4 jalapeños, seeded and sliced3 tomatoes (small), cubed
Directions
Rinse lentils. Put in pot with ginger, garlic, dried chilies, curry leaves, turmeric, 2c water. Boil, season with salt, reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes. Purée with immersion blender to desired consistency. Melt butter in a frying pan, toast mustard and cumin and onion, fry until onions slightly brown. Add jalapeños and tomatoes, cook 2-3 minutes. Add the lentil mix and serve warm.
