1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil 1 cup onion chopped1 clove Garlic 2 cups Crushed Tomatoes 1 cup Tomato Sauce 1cup dry Red Wine 1 tsp Oregano, ground 1 tsp Basil 1/4 tsp Pepper, red or cayenne
Heat oil in large pot over medium heat. Add onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until golden (about 5 minutes). Stir in garlic and cook until aromatic (about 1 minute). Stir in tomatoes, tomato sauce, 1/2 cup red wine, and spices. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium low and simmer, uncovered and stirring occasionally, for one hour.
