Shrimp Creole

Ingredients
2 lb. medium shrimp, peeled and deveined1 large yellow onion, chopped4 stalks celery, chopped1 green bell pepper, chopped1 cup chopped parsley1 bunch green onions, chopped6 cloves of garlic, minced1 stick unsalted butter1 can tomato sauce 1 can tomato paste2 tsp. Sugar4 cups chicken broth1 tsp. Salt1/2 tsp. BlackPepper1 tsp. Red pepper
Directions
1. Season shrimp evenly with salt, pepper, and red pepper. Set aside.
2. Melt butter in skillet over medium heat.
3. Sauté onions and celery until onions are translucent.
4. Add tomato paste and cook for 5 minutes (stirring constantly).
5. Add tomato sauce and 2 cups chicken stock.
6. Cook 30 minutes stirring every 10 minutes (add chicken stock at each stirring time).
7. Add seasoned shrimp, bell pepper, garlic, and sugar.
8. Cook 20 minutes.
9. Serve over steamed rice. Top with chopped parsley and green onions
