Cake-Like Fudge Brownies with Milk Chocolate M&Ms

Ingredients
1 pkg Betty Crocker Fudge Brownie Mix1 large egg4 serving Egg white 3 Tbsp tap water 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce11 oz of bag Family Size Milk Chocolate M&M's (use a food scale to measure)
Directions
Prepare brownies according to package directions, setting oven temperature to 325 degrees F for an 8 x 8 glass pan and spraying pan with Baker's Secret. Substitute 1 whole large egg and 4 egg whites for the 3 eggs, and unsweetened applesauce for the oil. Mix thoroughly and then fold M & Ms gently into batter. Bake for the length of recommended time--be careful as overbaking will make the batter tough and chewy . The candies my sink to the bottom of the brownies while baking.
