Ingredients
3 cup Flour, King Arthur All Purpose Unbleached White 5lb/2.27gm Bag (.25Cup/30gm) (by LIMASTAR) 2 cup Granulated Sugar 1.25 tsp Cinnamon, ground 0.25 tsp Nutmeg, ground 1 cup Butter, salted 1 tsp Baking Soda 2 serving 1 Egg- large, fresh 1 cup Buttermilk
Directions
sift together flour, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Cut in the butter. Take out 1 1/2 cups of mixture to be used for topping later. Add to remaining mixture baking soda. Beat in 2 eggs and the buttermilk. Spread in 2 well greased cake pans, cover with topping and bake at 400F for 30 minutes
