Nana's Coca Cola Cake

Ingredients
1 1/2 c. sugar1 stick butter2 eggs beaten2 squares chocolate1 3/4 c. flour1 tsp. baking soda12 oz. Coca Cola1/3 c. evaporated milk1/4 c. butter1 c. sugar1 square chocolate1 tsp. vanilla1/4 tsp. salt
Directions
Mix together:
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 stick butter
2 eggs beaten
2 squares chocolate

Sift together:
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda

Add alternately with:
12 oz. Coca Cola

Bake 30-35 minutes at 350 degrees in a 13/9 inch pan.

Chocolate Icing:

1/3 c. evaporated milk
1/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 square chocolate
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt

Stir all ingredients except vanilla constantly. Boil one minute. When finished bubbling, add vanilla. Beat by hand until warm. Pour over cake.

Makes approximately 20 2x2 inch slices

    While it is VERY GOOD, I don't think it's 'light'. I am very grateful for Nana's granddaughter for sharing this. It reminds me of a cake we had with a good family friend. I will be making this for my best friends going away party. Thank you. - 1/28/12

    How about substituting diet cola, and splenda? Not sure this can be low-fat exactly, but its cake... one of those things you just have to splurge a little on lol. - 8/2/08
