Scalloped Potatos Au Gratin

Ingredients
1 cup onions6 tbsp margarine1 cup flour2 cups milk1/2 cup sour cream1/2 pound cheddar cheese3 Tbsp ground oregano3 Tbsp basil1 Tbsp nutmeg3 Tbsp paprikaSalt to taste1 cup water from boiling potatos4 med-large potatos
Directions
cream margarine, flour, sour cream and milk together to make a roux sauce. When smooth, add sauted onions, grated cheese, and spices.

Thinly slice potatos and boil until soft.

Put half of the sauce mixture in the bottom of a 9X9 pan, add potatos and top with remaining sauce. Grate cheese on top.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes

    This was good. I used fat free sour cream and milk, and that almost halfed the calories. there was no directions for the water, so I just skipped it. Thanks. - 1/2/09
