Sauteed Green Beans

~ 4 cups fresh green beans (you can use frozen or canned - but tastes best with fresh)~ 2 tbsp all purpose flour~ 2 tbsp land o lakes buttery taste spread~ salt to taste~ black pepper to taste~ 1 tsp garlic powder
~ prepare green beans by trimming ends and cutting into 1 inch pieces
~ blanch them in salted boiling water until they turn bright green (this should take about a min.)
~ shock beans in a bowl of ice water
~ melt butter in a 10 inch skillet
~ once butter is melted, add flour and seasonings
~ whisk until the flour turns a golden brown to make a rue
~ add green beans and stir to coat with the flour mixture for about 1 - 2 min or until the flour mixture turns crispy on the beans
~ serve and enjoy :)
