Raisin Scones

Ingredients
flour, unbleached sifted (3 cups)sugar (1/3 cups)baking powder (2 tbsp)golden raisins (1/2 cup)raisins (1/2 cup)oil, vegetable (3 oz.)milk 2% (1/2 cup)
Directions
Preheat oven 450 degrees f. Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, mix in raisins by hand breaking up clumps of raisins. Add oil slowly while stirring with a fork. Stir with fork while adding milk, but only add enough milk to reach a biscuit consistancy. Turn out dough on lightly floured surface, and knead lightly. Scones will be hard and tough if you knead it too much. Roll out to an inch in thickness and using a two inch round cutter cut out scones. Place scones on baking tray or stone and cook in oven for 10 to 12 minutes, until scones are lightly brown on top.
