Ingredients
2 cups whole wheat flour3/4 cups warm water1 + tbsp oilsalt to taste
Directions
Knead together dough with all ingredients
Heat frying oil on side
Divide into small balls about golf-ball size, and roll out into 6" rounds on an oiled board. Use white flour to powder each side when rolling out. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or saucepan. Add a little salt to the oil to keep it from smoking. Fry the puri one at a time, holding them under the oil on the first side until they puff. Turn and fry till light brown; drain.

    Oil for frying is not mentioned in the ingredients so I believe it is not counted in nutrional value. I think calorie count should be higher than what it is now! - 4/19/13
