Mother's Chop Suey

2 T olive oil1.5 lbs pork loin, cut in cubes2 large onions, sliced2 c. water 5 c. Napa cabbage, sliced2 c. water1 tsp. celery salt1 tsp. salt1/4 tsp. pepper1/4 c. flour
Makes 8 1-cup servings
Brown cut-up pork in olive oil in a frypan; remove and put in a 4 qt. saucepan. Brown onions in drippings; remove and put in saucepan. Pour 2 c. water in frypan and then put in saucepan. Simmer these ingredients about 1 1/2 hours (until pork is almost done). Then add Napa cabbage and 2 more cups of water. Simmer for 20 minutes more. Then add the celery salt, salt, and pepper. Mix flour with a little water until smooth and add to mixture in saucepan to thicken it. Serve with cooked rice.
