Banana Bran Date Muffins

1 3/4 cup whole wheat flour3/4 cup bran1/4 cup flex seed (milled)2 tsp baking powder1 tsp baking soda2 tsp cinnamon2 eggs1/2 cup brown sugar5 bananas (ripe)1 cup buttermilk2 T. olive oilDates Pecan halves 1 or 2 per muffin
Cook dates on stove in small sauce pan with water till soft. Set aside
Preheat oven to 350 Spray 12 muffin tins
In large bowl combine flour,bran,baking powder and soda,cinnamon.
In medium bowl beat together eggs.brown sugar. Add bananas,buttermilk,oil and vanilla.
Add to dry ingredients.Fill muffin tins 1/2 full.
add spoon of cooked dates to center and top with more batter. Top with pecan halves.
Bake for 30 min.
