Ingredients
2 pounds beef, shoulder roast (you can use up to 5 lbs with the seasonings mixture, but 2 pounds is more than enough for my family so the calories are for 2 lbs!)1 tbsp salt1 tbsp chili powder1 tsp thyme leaves1 tsp basil leaves1 tsp oregano leaves1 tsp paprika1 tsp black pepper1 tsp chervil (can be substituted for 1 tsp parsley flakes and 1/8 tsp rubbed sage)1 tsp dry mustard1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce2 cups Coca Cola (DO NOT USE DIET!)
Directions
Trim excess fat from meat. Place the roast in crockpot. Blend the seasonings together. Pour Worcestershire over the beef and rub with the seasonings. Pour the coke along the side of the beef.

Cooking times vary by amount of meat, crockpot types and heat. Check after 2 hours.

Ive done a similar thing for years with roast whole chicken- done correctly, the meat falls off the bone. - 8/7/10

I fixed this recipe tonight and the family loved it! I left out the salt due to my husband being on a low sodium diet. It was still very good. - 10/28/09
