Kim's Hot and Sour soup

32 oz. chicken broth1 can bamboo shoots, cut into matchsticks1 package mushrooms, sliced2 cups water,1 pork loin slice, cut into strips1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper3 tablespoons soy sauce3 tablespoons rice vinegar1 tablespoon cornstarch, mixed with 1/4 cup or reserved chicken broth.1 egg, mixed well
makes 6 servings.
Slice bamboo shoots, mushrooms, and pork loin slices. Reserve 1/4 cup of chicken broth and put rest in pot with meat and vegetables. Add soy sauce, rice vinegar and red pepper. Bring to boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes to cook the pork loin. Mix cornstarch and reserved broth, add to soup. Bring heat up to medium and bring to a boil. Stir in egg.
