Sausage Marinara with Whole Wheat Pasta

*Ronzoni Healthy Harvest whole wheat spaghetti style pasta (dry), 4 oz *Tomatoes, red, ripe, canned, whole, no salt added, 1.75 cup Tomato Sauce, 1 cup Onions, raw, 1 cup, choppedCarrots, raw, .5 cup, choppedGarlic, 3 cloves Olive Oil, 1 1tsp *Italian Sausage, pork, 0.3 link, 4/lb tsp Italian seasoningsplash Balsalmic vinegar
In pot heat tomatoes and frozen sausage. Chop onions, garlic and saute in small pan, add to pot. grate carrot into pot, season with Italian herbs and a little balsalmic vinegar or red wine. Simmer while pasta is cooking (in separate pot) and combine when pasta is al dente. Serves two but can easily be doubled or tripled. Great way to eat whole wheat pasta and has almost 13 g of fiber per serving.
