baked corn pudding

Ingredients
butter, flour and onions, green or red peppers, 2 cans of whole kernel corn, cheddar or parmesean cheese, Italian bread crumbs
Directions
melt butter in a skillet, saute onions and peppers until onions are clear , sprinkle flour and stir to make a roux until all butter is absorbed, add milk, slowly (like a basic white sauce)stir until it begins to thicken, add drained corn and beaten egg then remaining ingredients, turn onto a greased baking dish and bake at 325 until set. you can add bread crumbs or shredded cheese for the topping. makes 8 servings
