I like the idea of the bacon. I make a version of these but do not precook the peppers. They do soften a little in the oven, but we like the crunch of the peppers. I sometimes add beef, sausage, chicken or turkey pieces. Any leftover meat is good. - 12/11/08

You would need to boil the pepper for 2-3 for spicy or boil for 5 min for non-spicy. The longer they boil, they become less spicy. You boil them in order for the pepper to be a little soft. If you don't boil on the stove with water 1st, the pepper will come out hard after you bake them in the oven. - 12/11/08

These were totally yummy....I par-boiled them for 5 mins, and it took the spicy away....can't wait to make them again, and will definitely make double...they went fast!!!! - 1/16/10

Here is a version I love to make. I cut the peppers in half and clean them out, put a teaspoon of favorite cream cheese in each half, put them back together and wrap with half a slice of bacon, securing with a toothpick, then sprinkle peppers with ranch dip mix. Bake 20-25 mins in 375 oven. - 12/13/08
