Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Ingredients
1/2 lb. (2 sticks) margarine or butter, softened1 cup firmly packed brown sugar1/2 cup granulated sugar2 eggs1 teaspoon vanilla1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour1 teaspoon baking soda1 teaspoon cinnamon1/2 teaspoon salt (optional)3 cups Quaker Oat, uncooked1 cup raisins
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat together margarine & sugars until creamy. Add eggs & vanilla; beat well. Add combined flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt; mix well. Stir in oats & raisins; mix well. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack. About 4 dozen
