Sugar cookie frosting

Ingredients
2 cups icing sugar1/4 cup soft margarine1/5 cup milk1/2 tsp vanillaFood coloring to taste
Directions
1. In a large bowl cream together icing sugar and margarine until smooth
2. Gradually add milk and vanilla and mix until smooth and stiff, about 5 minutes.
3. Color with food coloring if desired.
Decorates 48 cookies.

    Tasted great! Very easy to make and easy to get to the thickness you desire. I would decrease the amount of butter used a little bit if you're frosting some already butter-heavy sugar cookies, though. Otherwise they come out tasting really buttery, although still really tasty. :) - 6/14/09

    I assumed it was not an American recipe due to "icing sugar" for which I use confection sugar and the 1/5 cup of milk which I were shot just below the 1/4 cupMark. It worked great! I love this recipe. - 12/25/12
