Ingredients
Mexican Style Chili Beans 15.5 oz Dark Red Kidney Beans 15.5 oz Diced Tomatoes in Tomato Juice 28 oz. Crushed Tomatoes 28 oz. Rotel Chili Fixin's Seasoned diced Tomatoes and chilies 10 oz Tomatoes Diced for Chili 14.5 oz.Chili Seasoning Mix 1.25 oz.Onion Chopped 1 whole.Water 2 cups.
Directions
Brown the Beef (drain if you don't use lean beef)
Onion can be cooked with Beef or added raw if you are using a slow cooker. I put beef and all other ingrediants into a 6 qt. Slow cooker and simmer all day or overnight 8-12 hours. I cook on high the first few hours then switch to low if I'm home or I have left it on low.

The Chili can be eaten within 30 minutes if not put in slow cooker but the longer time allows for the flavors to blend and cook down some.

makes 28 1/2 cup + servings (using a lable the serving can be more than actual 1/2 cup

This recipe has turned out to be one of my favorite chili dishes. I figure its only 3 points per serving. I like the quick version, but I like using homemade beans best. MAZACK is right you can control the sodium and fat, when you cook your own beans. - 4/30/09
