Arrange them evenly in a 9"x9" baking pan and sprinkle with a mixture of 1/2 C sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon. Dot with the 4 Tbs butter. Mix the Bisquick and sugar. Cut in the butter, Add the milk to moisten. Divide into 6 portions and drop the dough in mounds onto the peaches.
Bake in the 9x9 pan at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Turn heat down to 350 degrees and cook for an additional 30 minutes. Mounds will be lightly browned and the peaches will be bubbling. Let stand for 15 minutes. Serve with vanilla or cinnamon ice cream or with heavy cream.
