Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients
1 cup onions1 cup green pepper1 cup celery2 T butter1 lb ground turkey1 lb ground turkey sausage1 large can tomatoes1 small can tomato paste1 small can tomato sauce2 cups tomato juice1/2 t baking soda1/2 t black pepper1/4 t thyme1/2 t chili powder1/4 t tarragon1/4 t parsley flakes2 t salt1 t sugar or equivalent sugar substitute1 cup chopped mushrooms1 bay leaf3 cloves of garlic1 t oregano1/2 t. basil
Directions
makes 8 servings

Brown ground turkey and sausage, drain.
Saute onions, green pepper and celery in butter until tender. Add all other ingredients, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for at least two hours for flavors to meld.
