Beef Stew

Ingredients

3 cups diced potatoes1/3 cup each of frozen green beans, yellow beans, carrots, diced11 oz tos sirloin or stewing beef, diced on chunks5 small chefs onions diced in four1/2 c celery6 1/2 cups water2 beef bouillion cubes1/4 cup whole wheat flour1 1/2 tbsp garlic powder1 tbsp black pepper1 tbsp dried oregano1/2 tbsp dried basil
1. Dice up potatoes into 1in cubes (rince well) & begin boiling in lg pot with 6 cups water. dice up celery & throw into pot too
2. add pepper,oregano basil and garlic powder
3. In a nonstick pan with deep sides fry beef on medium temp. & add diced op onions, put on lid and let onions sweat (not fry) about 5 min. Set aside
4. Strain potatoes & celery out of the potato water and set aside with the beef mix.
5. Add bouillion cubes to potato water and bring to a boil.
6.Mix remaining 1/2c water with the four, mixing well & slowly pour into potato water, wisking constantly ( like when u make gravy) until it slightly thickens.
7. Add potatoes, celery, beef, onions and then add frozen beans & carrots.
8. Simmer on med/low heat for approx. 30 min.
I know it seems like alot of work straining everything but trust me it's awesome when it's done.
