Fried Cabbage with Bacon and Mushrooms

Ingredients
1 head of green cabbage, chopped12 oz. bacon, fried and crumbledbacon grease reserved from frying bacon8 oz package portabella mushrooms, sliced
Directions
Fried the bacon in a large frying pan until crispy. Remove from pan and drain. Place chopped cabbage into hot bacon grease in the pan and stir to coat. Continue cooking over medium-high heat until cabbage softens and browns at edges. Add sliced mushrooms. Crumble bacon and add to pan. Continue cooking until mushrooms are tender.
Serves 6.

    Yummy. For me though if it's a one dish thing, it's not really a side, and the serving size is off for me. I used less bacon and it was perfect and tasty. - 7/13/10
