banana muffins

Ingredients
2 1/4 Cups Nutrigrain or Whole Wheat flour1 1/2 tsp baking powder1 1/2 tsp baking soda1/2 Cup brown sugar1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla1/3 cup canola oil3 ripe bananas, mashed1/2 Cup buttermilk1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (or semisweet or milk chocolate)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350F
Line 18 muffin cups with paper liners or spray non stick spray. (I used a 12 muffin tin and then 12 mini muffin tin)
In a medium bowl combine flour, baking powder, adn baking soda
In a Large bowl beat sugar, applesauce, eggs and oil until frothy, Stir in vanilla.
Alternately add bananas, buttermilk and flour mixture until just combined.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Spoon into muffin tins
Bake until toothpick inserted comes out clean - approx 20 minutes (11 for the mini muffins)
Remove and cool on wire rack.
