Chicken Sausage Marinara Sauce

Ingredients
1 pkg (4 links) Al Fresco brand chicken sausage1 tbsp. olive oil2 cloves garlic, minced1/2 onion, chopped2 tbsp. red wine14.5 oz. can diced tomatoes8 oz. can tomato sauce1/2 tsp. italian seasoning1/4 tsp. black pepper1/2 tbsp. paprika1 tsp. molasses
Directions
Quarter the sausage links and brown in a medium-sized skillet. Add olive oil, onion and garlic and saute until onions become translucent. Add red wine and bring just to a sizzling boil. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Makes 4 1-cup servings.

Serve over Barilla whole grain penne or rotini.

Substitutions:
1 tbsp. red wine for 1 tsp. balsamic or red wine vinegar
1 tsp. molasses for 1 tsp. brown sugar
