Round Steak with Herbs

Ingredients
2 pounds beef round steak1 medium onion, sliced1 10 3/4 oz can condensed cream of celery soup1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed1/4 teaspoon dried thyme, crushed1/2 teaspoon pepper
Directions
Trim fat from round steak and cut into serving size portions. Place onion in 3 1/2 to 4 quart slow cooker. Place meat over onion. In a small bowl, combine soup, oregano, thyme, and pepper. Pour over meat. Cover and cook on low setting for 10 to 12 hours or on high for 5 to 6 hours.

    I put a teaspoon of oil and browned the steaks first then deglazed the pan and threw all in the crock pot. Worked well. I added some carrots and 2 potatoes as well as using fresh oregano. - 5/5/14

    This was really great! I used a small roast cut into two pieces since there are only tow of us. I added two sliced potatoes before adding the soup & I used cream of chicken. I told hubby we were having "Salisbury steak" since the gray turned a rich brown. - 3/29/09
