Ingredients
A loaf of french bread2 cloves of garlic, chopped fine2 T extra virgin olive oilSalt and pepper3 slices of provolone cheese1 cucmber2 roma tomatosred onion, sliced thin1 T capers2 hard boiled eggs, sliced4-5 green or kalamata olives, sliced
Directions
Slice the loaf of bread lengthwise, removing a little bit of the inside to make a well. On one side of the bread, smear the finely chopped garlic, drizzle the olive oil, and sprikle with salt and pepper. On the other side of the bread, layer the rest of the ingredients. Wrap the sandwich in saran wrap and place UNDER something heavy, a cooler, a weighted cookie sheet, whatever. Squish for about an hour at room temperature. When ready to serve, slice into one inch slices. Depending on the size of the loaf, this could serve anywhere from10-16 people. The serving size is calculated for a one inch slice.
