Potato & Cheddar Soup with Ham

Ingredients
potatoes, butter, onion, flour, milk,salt,ham,shredded cheese
Directions
bring 4c water to boil, add potatoes, simmer until tender. Drain, reserving liquid. melt butter & add onion, cook & stir until tender. Stir in flour & cook 4 min., Gradually add potatoes, reserved liquid, milk & salt to onion mixture, stir well. Simmer 5 min, stir frequenty. Remove from heat;cool 5 min. Stir in cheese until melted.
