Ingredients
2 (15.5 ounce) cans garbanzo beans, drained4 tablespooons lemon juice6 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed3 tablespoons tahini1/4 teaspon crused red pepper
Directions
Place garbanzo beans in a food processor and blend into a spreadable paste. Mix in lemon juice, garlic, tahini and crused red pepper. Blend until smooth, using more lemon juice if consistency is too thick

    Just made this and it turned out GREAT!! I live overseas and could not find tahini, unfortunately, so I just added about 1 Tbsp olive oil. I also threw in a few whole olives. Beautiful flavor! - 6/10/07

    Perfect for my taste, nice garlic and lemon, didn't adjust at all and glad to see a recipe with no olive oil - there's no need for it. Just wish serving size was in tbs. or 1/4 cup, etc. Thanks! - 4/2/07
