Ginger Cookies

Ingredients
1 cup brown sugar3/4 cup margarine (vegetable oil substitutes well for lactose-free cookies)1/4 cup molasses1 egg2 cups flour2 tsp. baking soda1/2 tsp. salt1 tsp. ginger1 tsp. cinnamon1/2 tsp. cloves
Directions
Cream brown sugar, margarine (oil) and molasses. Add egg. Mix together remaining ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Roll in balls and dip in granulated sugar. Bake at 375* for 8 - 10 minutes.

Makes approx. 2 1/2 pans of cookies.
