Kitty's Cabbage Roll Casserole

Ingredients
* Cabbage, fresh, 6 cup, shredded (i use the cole slaw mix already shredded) * Ground beef, lean, 18 oz * Tomato Sauce, 3.5 cup * Water, tap, 1.75 cup * Pepper, black, 1 tsp * Instant White Rice, 1 cup * Vegetable Oil, .5 tbsp * Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped
Directions
Brown ground beef and onions until beef is no longer pink. Drain. Mix the instant white rice with it. Mix separately the tomato sauce, water and pepper.

In oiled 9 x 13 pan, put all the cabbage in the bottom, then layer all the meat mixture, and now pour the tomato sauce mixture over this, making sure to get it in the corners.

Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.

    I would roast a couple of cloves of garlic with onion and then, add it to the crock pot, using ground turkey. Good amount of fiber from cabbage. Thanks Kitty! - 4/4/09
