Ingredients
140 grams Old fashioned Oats70g 3% fat mature cheddar cheese70g 14% fat mature cheddar cheese0.5 cup non-fat milk0.33 cup water1 Tbs olive oil2 tsp paprika1 tsp prepared mustard0.25 tsp salt (or salt substitute)
Directions
Makes 8 biscuits.

Preheat the oven to 230C, 450F, Gas Mark 8.

Mix together the Oats, Paprika and salt. Mix together the mustard, oil, milk and water, then add to the oat mixture and allow to soak while you shred the cheeses. Add the cheeses to the oats and mix well.

Line a baking tray with baking parchment and spoon the mixture into 8 equal sized mounds. Flatten with a spoon into large biscuits.

Bake in centre of oven for 20-25 minutes. I found it best to turn them after 15 minutes, so they crisped well on both sides.

Store in an airtight container.

I thought these tasted great, but my kids weren't that impressed (too bad, they would have been a great lunchbox staple.) I will continue to make them for post workout snacks for myself but they aren't "pretty" enough to serve to guests. - 7/13/12

I gave it a try, but I wasn't very excited by the finished product. Too bad, I was hoping for a new and pretty healthy biscuit. Thanks anyways. - 6/13/09

I'm going to make it w/ 2% cheese and no olive oil. I don't know where to find the other cheese. Later I am going to try it with some if not all part skim mozzarella. Thanks for the zone recipe. - 6/2/09
