Ingredients
4 CUPS THINLY SLICED ONION2 TSP MARGARINE5 BEEF BROTH CUBES1 TSP WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE4 SLICES FRENCH BREAD4 SLICES SLICES PROVALONE CHEESE
Directions
THINLY SLICE 4 CUPS ONION. MELT MARARINE IN NONSTICK PAN. COOK ONION UNTIL SOFT.

BOIL 5 CUPS WATER FOR BEEF BROTH FOLLOW DIRCTIONS.

ADD ONION AND WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE TO BEEF BROTH. BRING SOUP TO BOIL AND SIMMER FOR 15 MIN.

HEAT OVEN TO 400 DEGREES. TOAST FRENCH BREAD IN OVEN. USE A BOWL THAT IS OVEN SAFE. LADLE SOUP INTO BOWL PLACE BREAD ON TOP USE I SLICE OF CHEESE. BAKE IN OVEN TILL MELTED AND ENJOY.

    We make this a lot but I use the low sodium prepared/purchased broth and occasionally add a little stock to it. Or another way we like it is to have a large beef bone and boil it as you would a ham bone. You get true and wonderful flavor and a little bit of meat with the onions. - 10/24/19
