Beer battered Fish

7 floz beer1/2 cup of white flour50g corn starch1tsp baking soda1 egg6 cod filletsvegetable oil
Put the flour, corn starch, baking powder into a bowl.
Whisk one egg with the beer and mix slowly into the flour until a smooth paste. Leave to sit.
Pat the cod fillets with kitchen roll as the batter will stick easier if the fish is dry.
Heat the oil in a pan
Cook the cod individually. Dipping into the batter mix and then putting into the oil. Turn over after a about 3/4mins. Lift the battered fish out of the pan and lay on kitchen towel before serving to soak up some of the oil.
