Apricot Granola Bars

1/4 C butter or margarine1/2 C brown sugar3 tbsp of honey1 C large oats1/3 C crushed bran flakes1/3 C wheat germ1/3 C chopped apricots1/4 C golden flax seeds1/4 C sunflower seeds1/4 C each – cranberries, raisins and pumpkin seeds 1 tsp of cocoa (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 °F. Heat butter in saucepan on the stove top, then add brown sugar, mix until sugar melts. Then add honey (and cocoa optional). Mix together on low heat. Mix all dry ingredients together in a bowl. Add warm liquid mixture to dry ingredients in a bowl. Mix together. Press mixture firmly into lightly oiled baking dish (9X9). Bake at 350 °F for 20 minutes. Let cool, then cut into bars.
