Mom's Everyday Coffee Cake

2 cups flour, 3/4 cup sugar, 2 tsp. baking powder, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 - 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1 stick margarine or butter, 1 egg, 3/4 cup milk.
