2 cups flour, 3/4 cup sugar, 2 tsp. baking powder, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 - 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1 stick margarine or butter, 1 egg, 3/4 cup milk.
Combine dry ingredients. Cut in margarine or butter until size of peas Remove and reserve 3/4 cup. Add egg and milk to dry ingredients. Stir until mixed ... batter will be lumpy due to butter. Pour into 9 in. round or 9 in. square cake pan. Sprinkle reserved
