I do this all the time, what's really good is to add some mushrooms. We eat a lot of venison also, and it's true that it's better than beef, mostly because it's easy on fat, but also because the animal usually hasn't had things bad to eat itself, so the meat doesn't have additives etc, in it. - 4/2/09

I love venison. I'm so glad you put this on the recipe page. My husband gets about 4 deer per year, so we always have two freezers full of venison. - 4/2/09

We really liked this! My son's first deer and exploring all the possibilities of preparing it! I used 1 can of fit/active cream of mushroom soup in place of the gravy packet. It's a keeper! - 1/5/13

This Was Amazingly Good! I Will Make This Time and Time Again! Yumm! I Added Real Onion Instead of The Dehydrated Onion... Also Put in a Small Can Of Cream of Mushroom Soup! Superb! 5 Stars! - 8/13/10

I've been making something similar to this for years....except I add some garlic powder, pepper, and sometimes mushrooms. Venison is good eating! - 4/2/09
