Ingredients
1.25 lbs. extra lean ground beef2 garlic clovesSalt & Pepper to tasteItalian seasoning to taste2 cups frozen green beans1 can tomato sauce1 can diced tomatoes1 cup uncooked whole wheat elbow macaroni2 cans water
Directions
Brown ground beef with garlic, salt, pepper & italian seasoning. Add remainder of ingredients & bring to a boil. Simmer for 10 minutes or until macaroni is cooked. Serve with shredded cheddar or parmesan cheese.

    This is a nice base recipe--I subbed turkey for the beef, and added red kidney beans for a little more diversity. I also do not use the canned tomatoes, but rather fresh tomatoes put through the food processor. This makes a great dish my whole family loves. - 8/6/10
