Taco Twist Soup

1 lb ground beef1 md sized onion, chopped2 garlic cloves, minced1.5 ts chili powder28 oz beef broth1.5 c picante sauce14.5 oz diced tomatoes1 c rotini pasta, uncooked0.5 c shredded cheddar
IN a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the onion and garlic over medium heat for 5 to n7 minutes, or until beef is cooked and no pink remains. Drain off the excess liquid. Add the remaining ingredients except the cheese and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the pasta is cooked. Serve topped with the cheese. Makes 6 servings.
