Slow Cooker Pulled BBQ Beef

2 - 2 1/2 lbs chuck roast, trimmed and cubed 1 - 1 1/2 cups barbecue sauce2 cups sweet onion, vertically slicedWhole-wheat or whole grain buns
Place beef and onion in slow cooker. Pour BBQ sauce over all, stir well, making sure the beef is coated. Cook on Low for 10 hours or on High for 5 hours.
Remove beef from crockpot with a slotted spoon. Shred beef with two forks. Return beef to crockpot, mix well. Cover and heat through for an additional 10 minutes.
Serve about 1/4 cup beef mixture on the whole-wheat buns.
