This recipe would be extremely salty as is, so I cut down the soy sauce to 1/4 cup and upped the broth to 1 full cup. Even then, and even with light soy sauce as I was using, it was still plenty salty. So don't salt anything else in your meal because you won't need it ; ) - 6/14/11

Has anyone made this without soy sauce or with a substitute for it?? I'm allergic to gluten and can't have it...unfortunately, all the best recipes call for it! - 3/25/09

This recipe looks great, I'm going to make some whole wheat noodles and chicken bowls and use this sauce....I will add some toasted sesame oil to give it that extra asian flair though! Thanks for sharing! - 1/31/09

This was pretty good. I added a bit more broth to dilute the soy sauce, and a couple tsps of Splenda to sweeten, but it was yummy!! - 7/11/08

This was very tasty. I served it with tofurice noodles and mixed vegetables. My DH even liked it and he's strictly a "meat and potatoes" man. - 4/2/07

I've been wanting to try some dishes w/ Peanut sauce, but everyone I found had too much salt. Now I can make my own and get to trying them dishes! - 3/23/07

Choice of soy sauce can help control sodium. Angostura makes a lower sodium one that tastes great. - 3/23/07

My family is from Malaysia, where peanut sauce is a delicacy...but I am VERY American, and never knew how to make it. I WILL be trying this this weekend!!! - 3/23/07
