italian beef stew

Ingredients
2 cans sliced mushrooms1 can crushed tomatos4tbsp. extra virgin olive oil1.75 # stew beef1 cup medium diced onion3 tbsp italian seasoning1 tbsp dry basil2 tbsp garlic powder12 oz. beef stock12 oz. red wine4 small russet potatos peelled and quartered
Directions
heat oil in pan.add beef brown all sides. add onions and herbs and spices cook until tender. add drained mushrooms and wine and broth. bring to simmer add canned tomatos and potatoes. bring back to simmer and cook until meat and potatoes are fork tender and sauce has reduced.
About: 1.5 to 3 hrs.
